Profile:
After graduating from Sophia University in Japan with a degree in English, earned her MA in communications at the Graduate School of Journalism, Michigan State University. After holding management posts at several multinational corporations including Dentsu/Young & Rubicam Inc., New York; American Express International, Inc.; North Pacific Region of FedEx Corporation, shifted to the non-for-profit sector in 2002. Served as Chief Officer of an NGO, Peace Winds Japan, conducting advocacy, branding and fundraising for the purpose of offering emergency relief and development assistance for the people in need. Joined the Tokyo Foundation in January 2008 as the executive director for the fellowship program.
